If I had the top three things that come to mind Eric Rohmer , I would say this:
1. Who had a deep humanistic culture: literature professor and writer.
2. That for a long time did the director, but the critic.
3. Who began making films around fifty years.
end up here? No. There's another unique thing, Rohmer: the actresses and female characters in his films. Some have had a successful career, most not, maybe they did just that Rohmer film. In "Le signe du lion " (1959), the attention is for the protagonist Wesserlin Pierre (Jess Hahn ) the violinist who can become a hungry tramp or a millionaire. Cathy ( Jill Olivier ) e Dominique Laurent ( Michèle Girardon ) sono due personaggi di contorno. In una piccola parte (la proprietaria dell'albergo) c'è anche Stéphane Audran . Jill Olivier è comparsa solo in questo film.
In " La boulangère de Monceau " (1963), il protagonista ( Barbet Schroeder ) deve scegliere fra la fornaia Jacqueline ( Claudine Soubrier ) e la studentessa Sylvie ( Michèle Girardon ) which it had lost track. Sylvie chooses in the end, but I always cheered for Jacqueline. Claudine Soubrier only starred in this short film, an appearance is unforgettable. Michèle Girardon in subsequent years had a good career, interrupted by the suicide with barbiturates in 1975, thirty-seven.
In "La Carriere de Suzanne " (1963) the two students Bertrand (Philippe Beuzen ) and Guillaume (Christian Charrière ) believe to have fun with Suzanne (Catherine Sée ), a girl that looks easy and helpless. But Suzanne will prevail. Catherine Sée only starred in this film.
In "The Collectionneuse" (1967), Adrien (Patrick Bauchau ) and Daniel (Daniel Pommereulle ) is an art critic and a painter, among their friends. Alla fine del film scoprirà che le due donne hanno qualcosa in comune. Françoise Fabian ha avuto come attrice un notevole successo: ha recitato in più di novanta film e recita ancora. Stessa cosa per Marie-Christine Barrault: oltre cento film. E' stata l'ultima moglie di Roger Vadim.
In " Le genou de Claire " (1970), sul lago di Annecy, l'addetto culturale Jerome ( Jean-Claude Brialy ) riallaccia l'amicizia con la scrittrice Aurora ( Aurora Cornu), meets a young friend of Aurora, called Laura (Béatrice Romand ), but it is particularly intrigued by the half-sister Laura, Claire (Laurence de Monaghan ), or rather from his knee, which able to touch the end of the film. Nel film " Perceval le Gallois " (1978), compare Arielle Dombasle , nel personaggio di Blanchefleur. E' il suo primo film. Ha recitato fino ad oggi in 115 film (considerando anche alcuni sceneggiati Tv). Compare in alcuni altri film di Rohmer.
Nel film " La femme de l'aviateur " (1981), François ( Philippe Marlaud ) è a twenty year old who works at the post office station. In love with Anne (Marie Rivière ) which has twenty-five years, is jealous and follows her down the street, to find out who Anne betrays him. So fifteen student knows the Lucie (Anne-Laure Meury ), which helps him in his stalking. François ... will be able to also become jealous of Lucie!
