Malgrado i 139 post scritti finora per questo multiblog, non ho mai preteso o supposto di essere una cinefila, nè tantomeno una critica cinematografica. Sostanzialmente, sono una nostalgica dei vecchi film in bianco e nero, che spesso rincorro facendo zapping sulle tv locali; in seconda battuta, mi professo devota fan dell'immortale Sean (Connery... ma c'è davvero bisogno di aggiungere il cognome?); infine, nutro particolare piacere nell'esercitare, di quando in quando, la sottile arte della stroncatrix di pellicole a mio insindacabile giudizio particolarmente uggiose. E' questo il caso di Amelia , scelto -ahi noi tapini- da me e dal mio consorte per trascorrere uno degli ultimi pomeriggi di feste natalizie, ispirati anche dal nome della regista, l'indiana Mira Nair. Nessuno dei due, già adulti e vaccinati, si aspettava un capolavoro da leone d'oro: qui però, santo paradiso, non si arriva neppure al chihuahua di latta!!! Eppure, checcàvolo, la Swank era almost spectacular Million Dollar Baby, and Gere is a beautiful animal at the bottom of the stage. Maybe they were not satisfied with the cachet? Well, that would be served to us out of the cinema ... but for a headache!!

A / A To begin with, a tip: if you really decided to waste the your money in the ticket price, documentatevi before, at least in broad outline, the history of aviation in the American 20s and 30s of the twentieth century, business in the wake of Lindbergh's flight was a pioneer for women, becoming a true legend in the U.S.. Oddio -ho pensato sgomenta- ma allora io che film ho visto??? Perchè -ve lo giuro sulla testa dei fratelli Lumiére- sul viso della Swank (altrove molto espressiva) l'unico panorama che ho potuto scorgere è stato quello di una piatta, monotona, monocorde pianura appena appena increspata da un lieve sorriso, facilmente confondibile con l'inizio di una paresi facciale. La brava Hilary si è forse sottoposta di recente a chirurgia estetica o ad iniezioni di botulino, così potenti da congelarle l'espressione?

And-perhaps-less interpreter with similar but more physically and emotionally in the professionally lowered.
NB: to hunt on the net pictures of the real Amelia (of which I posted here only a small selection) was far more exciting the entire movie. Try it, and I'll agree!
