Eppure, checcàvolo, la Swank era almost spectacular Million Dollar Baby, and Gere is a beautiful animal at the bottom of the stage. Maybe they were not satisfied with the cachet? Well, that would be served to us out of the cinema ... but for a headache!!
H / A To begin with, a tip: if you really decided to waste the your money in the ticket price, documentatevi before, at least in broad outline, the history of aviation in the American 20s and 30s of the twentieth century, business in the wake of Lindbergh's flight was a pioneer for women, becoming a true legend in the U.S.. With us, really, it is almost unknown, were it not for a couple of science fiction show like Star Trek and Stargate, in which his character appears next to those of the Wright brothers, the Gagarin and Neil Armstrong. Seems to have been given a tipino since very young, and it seems that he had inherited his love of flying from his father, but all this, as a spectator, I had almost guess, with a remarkable stretch of the imagination.
Hilary & Richard Similarly, the director leaves it to our intuition to find out what the mature entrepreneur George Putnam (Richard Gere that the verse refers to himself itself) has found so compelling in the Earhart to marry her. On the following another unresolved question: what has changed back to that feeling of fluttering girl, ready to throw without much hesitation in her arms Atletico Gene Vidal (Ewan McGregor a more unbearable than usual, that comes and goes from the script as the character a farce by Feydeau)? The kiss between the two convict occurs in the absence of a plane at hand, the cabin of an elevator-always moving equipment that is! - behind it is unknown how ignorant a lift in livery. Da die laughing, were it not that the film is already in half, and half of those present in the room already wonder why has not spent its € 7.5 in a decent cake, or edition of a classic economic by Agatha Christie. On the screen the personal lives of Amelia, its people and its aerial prowess is symmetrical and follow the same soporific, enlivened only by the interposition of photos and period films, where stands the indisputable star of the similarity with the original. The real Amelia Earhart, after all, clips in sepia reads the part of herself with the ability to consummate actress is no accident that he could sell his image very well, creating even a line of clothing and accessories bearing his name.
Hilary & Ewan
Amelia & Harpo Marx Character
less romantic than his legend would make you believe, was in truth the great aviatrix who described the propaganda, but it remains a symbol at a time when the equipment more complex headed by a woman was usually iron. Director and production could treat it more carefully? Hilary Swank could show a little 'less its incisors and a bit' over his heart? Probably. Acrobatics on precarious biplanes flew across the ocean in the company of drunken co-pilots, stunning views of the savannah of Africa style not sufficient to capture the attention and win the participation of the viewer, which is essentially alien and indifferent to the whole affair, for the least up to a quarter of an hour remaining. Qui-inspired writers of late? rinsavimento in extremis of Nair? dissection of the points used by the surgeon on the cheekbones of Swank? electroshock suitably practiced in Gere? - finally you can watch almost ten minutes of decent movies, but they leave a bitter taste, not so much thinking about the tragic ending (Amelia Earhart disappeared mysteriously at sea in 1937 while trying to travel around the world on board the aircraft Elektra) as reflecting on how the work would have failed with a minimum of care more. And-perhaps-less interpreter with similar but more physically and emotionally in the professionally lowered.
