Fra Bernardo ( Carlo Verdone ) e Camilla ( Margherita Buy ) si stabilisce un'amicizia di mutuo soccorso: entrambi sono andati dallo stesso psicanalista, entrambi soffrono per una delusione d'amore... per quanto... la situazione di Bernardo è chiara, Adriana ( Elisabetta Pozzi ) se n'è andata definitivamente col francese in tuta mimetica, mentre Camilla spera ancora di riuscire a farcela col Professor Altieri ( Alexis Meneloff ), lo psicanalista.
Oltre al continuo scambio di psicofarmaci, i due cercano di aiutarsi reciprocamente nella vita quotidiana, in modo da superare le rispettive fobie. Bernardo sta seduto su un baule e guarda l'orologio: dentro il baule c'è Camilla che si esercita sul fronte claustrofobia. La stessa cosa al cinema con i film terrorizzanti e sulla giostra stile Prater di Vienna per gli attacchi di vertigine. Sono tutti casi in cui è Bernardo che cerca di aiutare Camilla.
